ME & CHARLOTTE 6 MONTHS

Now my little sister Charlotte is six months. I want to show you some pictures of Charlotte, six months and me, when I was six months. Do you think we look alike?
This is me and Charlotte now. Charlotte is sitting in a chair for babies who cannot yet sit. It's not a pottie!
Here Charlotte, six months, is driving the car.....
...and this is me driving the car when I was six months.
Here is Charlotte, six months, in a baby sitter....
....and here is me in a baby sitter when I was six months.
Here is Charlotte on the bed....
.... and this is me on the bed.

ENTERING 2010 IN THE MOUNTAINS

We went to the mountains to spend our New Year holiday with dad's aunt Mama Mahimbo who lives in a village called Mbaga. It was a long but exciting drive to get there. First we drove to Same district in the Kilimanjaro Region. Then we drove to a small town called Kisiwani and from there we drove up, up, up the mountain on a small, windy road until we reached Mama Mahimbo's house. We were there for almost a week and it was very relaxing. We went for walks, bike rides, played, rested, talked and had nice food.
Here is the view from Mbaga.
Here I am standing in front of Mama Mahimbo's house with Mama Mahimbo, Charlotte, my friend Fahad and his mom Helena, who is dad's cousin. They joined us for the holiday and Fahad and I had great fun together!
Here is Mama Mahimbo with Charlotte. The weather in Mbaga is much cooler than in Dar es Salaam so as you can see, Charlotte even had to wear a hat!
Mama Mahimbo grew up in Mbaga village so she has many family members there. Here we are with Mama Mahimbo's sisters.
Daddy and Charlotte.
One day, dad, mom, Junior and I went fishing in the river which was really fun! We caught catfish and a crab.
Here I am by the river with Junior. There were many sheep in the mountains and here I am with a cute little lamb.
One day we went with Mama Mahimbo to the market to buy fruit and vegetables.

CHRISTMAS 2009

At nursery school, Christmas really started with the St Lucia celebration. We sang Christmas songs to our parents and after the performance, we had gingerbread biscuits and saffron buns!
Here I am having gingerbread biscuits with my friends Emma and Michelle.
We spent Christmas eve at home. It was me, Charlotte, Junior, dad, mom, my cousin Jed, my friend Malaika, their parents, Maria, Juliana and some friends from Zambia. We had a Christmas tree and even snow which dad had brought from the shop. Dad sprayed the snow on the windows!
Jed, Malaika and I had our own Christmas dinner table with meetballs, ham, omelette and potatoes. We ate while we were eagerly waiting for Santa Claus.
After dinner, Santa came to our house! First we were all a bit afraid but he turned out to be a nice Santa so Malaika and I even agreed to sit on his lap.
Both me, Jed and Malaika got a present from Santa. My present was a box of lego so now I can build my own airplanes and cars in many different shapes! Junior missed Santa this year because he went to the shop and when he came back, Santa had already left.

BACK IN DAR!

We went back to Dar es Salaam at the end of October when my sister Charlotte was 2,5 months old. Grandma Maggan came with us and stayed for almost two weeks which was fun!
Here I am with grandma Maggan at Slipway - the best ice-cream place in town!
Here are both my grandmothers - Rose and Maggan, and my little sister Charlotte.
Granddad Peter holding me and Charlotte, which I thought was great fun!
Look, Charlotte is trying to sing Itsy Bitsy Spider!
It was nice to take a dip in the pool again. Here I am swimming one evening with my brother Junior. He had school holidays from his studies in South Africa for two months, which was great!
Here dad and I took Charlotte for a swim for the first time. She enjoyed it, especially to sit in my old boat.
