SUMMER IN SWEDEN

I went to Sweden for the summer to visit grandma and granddad, cousin Theo, auntie Jessica, uncle Daniel and all other relatives and friends. First I couldn't believe that this was supposed to be summer. Me and Theo wanted to try out the pool but we had to wear thick clothes and even hats... We were not even allowed to have water in the pool!
After a week or so it got much warmer so finally we could go for a swim.
When I met Molly again I thought she was a bit scary but then we became friends.
Here I am in the summer house having great fun!
I played a lot with granddad. Here we are playing badminton.
Me and Theo playing football. We were on the same team, as you can see from the shirts.
Me and my friend Nisse playing farmers in his garden.
On the way to Frösön, I went to visit my friend Moses in Uppsala.

GOING FOR A RIDE!

When I was in Sweden for the summer, I went for lots of rides in lots of different vehicles, check out the pictures!
The absolutely coolest ride was with uncle Karl-Åke in his new lorry. Can you see that I'm driving?!
Granddad and grandma bought me and cousin Theo a new 'Bobby car' - red, classic and cool. Mummy told me she had exactly the same car when she was my age, can you believe it?
I also went biking with grandpa very fast in my new racer helmet! Even when we went shopping I could practice my driving skills...
My friend Hugo and I tried out mummy's old pushchairs for dolls from when she was little.
After granddad had mowed the lawn in the garden, me and Hugo were the kings of the wheelbarrow.
Another ride with my friend Hugo.

MY BIRTHDAY PARTY!

On the 28 of Apil, it was my first birthday. Of course, we threw a big party!
A few days earlier, my friend Edith also turned 1 year so we had two cakes - one for me and one for her. Here I am with dad before we blow out the candles.
Edith, her dad Olle and I.
Me and mum after we've had lots of cake!
Many friends came, like my friend Lumuli and his mum Rehema, my cousin Jed and granddad, and my friend Ayla.
I had lots of fun, like here with Stacey and Juliana.
I got so many nice presents and in the evening I was trying them all out, like this exciting chicken puzzle from auntie Stacey.

MY BABTISM

The 29 of March was a big day. I was babtised in the Lutheran church in Msasani, Dar es Salaam. First there was a ceremony in church which took about 30 minutes. After that we had a big party at home with around 60 guests. Here the priest puts water on my head which I didn't mind at all! Mum, dad and my Godfather Isac are watching.
Here you can see some of the people who participated in the church ceremony: grand-auntie Magda, grand-uncle David, grandma Rose, auntie Hilda, Ana, Anna, grand-auntie Eivor, grandma Margareta and Smilla.
Here I'm posing by the christening funt with mum and dad.
We had a great party with lots of food from an Italian restaurant. Here you can see dad talking to Iver and Bo.
We had a party tent in the garden and here I am sitting with grandma, granddad and grand-uncle David. Junior's friend Arnold is video-filming us.
It was great that I was babtised when grand-auntie Eivor and grandma from Sweden were here!
The party continued until late at night and I was a good host until the end!

GRANDMA AND EIVOR VISIT US

Just before Easter, grandma and grand-auntie Eivor came from Sweden to visit us for ten days. I showed them around and we had a great time! Hopefully, they will soon come again.

One day, I took them to South Beach, across the ferry from Dar es Salaam.
For Easter we went to Bagamoyo, an old town located on the coast, about 45 minutes drive from Dar es Salaam. Here we are having lunch in our hotel by the beach.
In Bagamoyo, we went on a historical tour with a guide and he told us that they used to ship slaves from Bagamoyo and that there was even an old slavemarket.
On Easter Monday, we were invited to bibi and babu (grandma and granddad) for lunch. A lot of relatives were there, like my cousin Jed who is with his dad to the left of the photo.

BACK IN DAR!

After spending three months in Sweden, we are now back in Dar where it's very warm compared to Sweden this time of the year but cold for Tanzania.... We have moved to a house which is super nice!
Here I am playing with dad by the pool - I love it!
It was great to see my brother Junior again!
and grandma and granddad of course.

I think my cousin Jed and auntie Hilda were very impressed with how much I had grown!
After swimming it's time for another bath!
Here I am in my boat with daddy, my friend Ayla, her dad, mum and uncle.
Sometimes, a whole bunch of friends get together while our mothers drink coffee. Here I am playing with Edith and Hampus. You can also see Hampus' mum Anna and Jacobs mum Malin.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This year was my first Christmas and we celebrated it in grandma's and granddad's house in Sweden. It was me, dad, mum, grandma, granddad, Theo, auntie Jessica and uncle Danne. On Christmas Eve, Santa Claus came to visit us! He said that I had been a good boy so he had brought lots of presents for me.
What can be inside of this present?
Here I am with my cousin Theo. Uncle Daniel made a christmas card out of this picture and I think both of us look very cool.
Dad, me, mum, auntie Jessica, uncle Danne and Theo. Me and Theo are taking a power nap before Santa arrives.
A few days before Christmas, we went to my friend Hugo's summer house in the forrest to cut a christmas tree. As you can see, it was very cold that day.
One day, we went to the mountains. Dad whent for a tour on a snow mobile and then we had sausages in a Sami hut by Ann-Sofie's and Karl-Åke's winter cottage. Here I am by the fire with granddad and grandma.
We went skiing a few times in 'Svartsjöarna' ('the Black Lakes'). I'm in the slade behind granddad.
We went to Uppsala to celebrate New Year's eve with Moses' parents Ylva and Alex and a lot of other people. Here I'm playing with Moses and Aron.

ROAD TRIP TO UMEÅ

Just before Christmas, I went with mum by bus to Umeå, a ride which takes about six hours from grandma's and granddad's house on Frösön. Dad also came to Umeå and we all stayed with Åsa, or 'Mama B' as we also call her because she was there when I was born.
Here I'm on the bus.
Here I'm playing with my friend Lucas. He's my soul brother because we were born on the same day.
Here I am with 'Mama B'.
